Exploring livelihood opportunities for the tribal at Jungle-Mahal

A two-member delegation from Krishnaa Human Initiatives visited Jhargram and adjacent area to explore livelihood opportunities for the tribals at Jungle Mahal. Sri G. K. Ghosh, President of Krishnaa Human Initiatives (KHI) & Sri Susanta Biswas, Secretary, KHI was in the delegation.

The initiative was strengthened by the active cooperation of Jhargram Khadi & Village Industries AssociationSri Ashok Kumar Nandy, Executive Director of the association interacted with Krishnaa Human Initiatives to draw a roadmap for the future work programs in this regard.

The team also interacted with technical experts from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, regarding technology transfer, training etc.

  1. Great initiatives Susanta! We have an urgent need of such initiatives in rural and semi urban India. Believe these could help a lot to check continuous rural migration to city in search of livelihood.
