Participating in Awareness Raising and Information Campaign on Research & Innovation Cooperation with Europe

The European Union and its Member States organized together a series of information seminars throughout India to raise awareness among Indian research stakeholders about the opportunities that they can offer for research and innovation cooperation, including mobility schemes for Indian researchers. The events took place in Kolkata, among 27 key research and innovation hot spots in India.

Krishnaa Human Initiatives (KHI) participated in the seminar held at Hyatt Regency, Kolkata on Wednesday 15 June 2011. Shri Susanta Biswas, the Secretary & Dr. Mrinmoy Majumdar, the Hony. Technical Advisor, AP, NIT, Agartala represented the organization in the seminar. Ms. Alicia Greated, Director, Research Councils UK was the Coordinator of the program at Kolkata.

Releasing of Book titled "Shroddhay Smarone KRISHNA BISWAS''

Krishnaa Human Initiatives (KHI), a Citizen Sector Organization founded in memory of Late (Smt.) Krishna Biswas, published a Bengali book titled "Shroddhay Smarone KRISHNA BISWAS'' to pay tribute to her.  Late Biswas dedicated herself to progressive movement for the welfare of women and society. The fifty paged book with colored photographs dealt with her life sketch and nine well written articles on her. Tributary messages from distinguished persons and common people enriched the publication. On June 26, 2011, Sunday a function was organized at Kishore Bharati Vidya Bhavan, 81, Devi Nibas Road, DumDum by the CSO to distribute the book to invited guests.

In the function, the President of Krishnaa Human Initiatives, Shri Satyananda Das, IFS (Retd.), presented the first copy of the book "Shroddhay Smarone KRISHNA BISWAS'' to Shri Mihir Sengupta. Earlier, Shri Sengupta formally released the book in a memorial function on the occasion of the first death anniversary of Late (Smt.) Krishna Biswas at her residence.

The Vice President of Krishnaa Human Initiatives, Smt. Moushumi Biswas, teacher of Army Public School, published the book on behalf of the organization. The cover of the book was designed by eminent painter Shri Nirmalya Nag and another eminent painter Shri Prokas Das made the portrait sketch of Late (Smt.) Krishna Biswas.
