Career Upliftment Program for Academics (CUPA)


Krishnaa Human Initiatives has launched Career Upliftment Program for Academics (CUPA) at Kolkata. The aim of this Program is to provide an overview of both the theoretical and practical aspects of conventional and advanced technologies to the practitioners/educators for a better understanding and growing ability of applying the knowledge.

Learning objectives


Upon completion of the program, the participants will be able to:


*  understand the basic principles of water and energy

* comprehend the basic principles of new and improved water technologies
*  have practical knowledge on the design and operation of the processes involved
* learn the various hydrologic and water related software, logic and algorithms and methods
*   to apply them efficiently for achievement of their chosen objectives
*  an opportunity to publish in national/international book/journals based on the quality of the project 

 
Target group
The module specifically targets professionals in companies, consulting agencies, ministries, education and research institutes having BTech degree from AICTE approved institute

Program structure

The candidate upon enrolling for the program will be asked to select his/her topic of interest. Based on the selected topics supervisors will be approached to guide the enrollee. The enrollee upon the guidance of the supervisor will complete the objectives assigned to him. When the supervisor recommends the completion of the project a Certificate of Completion will be provided to the enrollee as a recognition of his/her achievement signed by the Secretary of the institute and a Guest Technical Adviser.

Ms.Tilottama Chakraborty, an Assistant Professor at NIT Agartala who studied Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering at Jadavpur University has successfully completed the research project entitled “Application of Fuzzy Logic for Selection of Suitable Locations for Reservoir Development for the fulfillment of Career Upliftment Program for Academics (CUPA) under the supervision of Dr. Mrinmoy Majumder, Guest Technical Adviser, Krishnaa Human Initiatives

KHI Theatre for Awareness in Banaja Shilpa Mela at Kolkata


In the inauguration of Banaja Shilpa Mela held at Kolkata on May 7, 2013 a demonstration of the KHI Theatre for Awareness was presented on request of the organizers. The Mela organized by the Regional Centre, National Afforestation & Eco-Development Board, Jadavpur University under Ministry of Environment & Forests,

In presence of the dignitaries from State Forest Department of West Bengal and Jadavpur University the show was performed. The Chairman of KHI briefly introduced the theme of KHI Theatre for Awareness and Chief Guest Mr. Nirapada Sardar, Member of State Legislative Assembly appreciated the endeavor by sharing his own experience regarding the workshop.

The endeavor of Krishnaa Human Initiatives in development communication for confidence generation was highly appreciated by the dignitaries present in the occasion. Everybody was convince about the need of this sort of workshop  based interactive program for grass root level communication.

KHI Theatre for Awareness - an initiative in development communication

Krishnaa Human Initiatives is working in development communication at the grassroot level. The organization is using theatre as a tool for awareness building on sustainable development issues. It conducts various workshops in the interior parts of West Bengal and its adjacent states.

Mr. Aminul Haque, an well known theatre activist of Nandikar fame and the Executive Committee Member of KHI is working as the Director of the Project.

Presently the organization is conducting theatrical workshop in the remote area of Sundarban where the tribal villagers are facing problems regarding health, malnutrition, child and woman trafficking in their day to day life.

Krishnaa Human Initiatives in Earth Day Celebration 2013

Krishnaa Human Initiatives participated in Earth Day Celebration 2013 in Central Park, Salt Lake Kolkata. The program was organized by Indian Tree Foundation in association with Thikana.

The Citizen Sector Organization Krishnaa Human Initiatives is working through awareness generation programs on environment conservation issues since its inception. KHI joined hand in hand with India Tree Foundation and Thikana to celebrate the Earth Day.
